Although many designers are multi-disciplined, design is divided into different practices. This separation necessitates collaboration and interaction.

While we can use words, designers also use an array of additional tools in order to develop, communicate and implement their design ideas.

Design Skills explores key aspects of 2D and 3D communication techniques, provides information and training in areas such as CAD, colour and rendering; and also includes a guide to the interior design professions.

Design however, is not a formula exercise and as a designer in any discipline, once you have familiarised yourself with these skills, you will be able to develop your own personal programme.
